AusNet cultural heritage roadside field surveys in Lexton commencing 8 July 2026

AusNet will be conducting cultural heritage surveys on the Sunraysia Highway (between Forest Road and Dawsons Road) and Forest Road in Lexton on 8 and 9 July 2026.

The purpose of the cultural heritage surveys is to identify if evidence of Aboriginal cultural heritage is present and to assess the extent, nature, and significance of any material that is identified. The findings are used to assess the potential impacts to Aboriginal cultural heritage within and surrounding the proposed route.

Traffic management will be implemented for the duration of the surveys, with this section of the Sunraysia Highway reduced to one lane. The survey team will not access private property as part of these works.

AusNet will notify neighbouring landholders. If you have land along the proposed route and want to register your contact details, please contact us via 1300 (WRL WRL) 975 975 or info@westernrenewableslink.com.au.
