AusNet road condition assessment occurring 4 and 5 November 2026 in Lexton

AusNet will be conducting a road condition assessment on Forest Road, Lexton in Pyrenees Shire on Wednesday 4 November and Thursday 5 November 2026.

Road condition assessments are conducted to establish the current condition of areas that may be affected by the project by recording existing road and roadside features to provide a baseline for future comparison. Findings from these assessments will help inform the design of any road upgrades required to appropriately manage potential impacts of the project.

The road condition assessment will involve a car with a camera and GPS equipment recording existing ground levels, roads, drainage features, fences, services and other visible site features within the survey area.

The assessment is expected to take place between 9 am and 4 pm each day. Traffic management will be in place to support the assessment. Speed limits will be reduced to 40 km/h within the survey area on Forest Road while the assessment is being conducted. The survey team will not access private property as part of these works.
