The Western Renewables Link project team has reluctantly made this decision to ensure we maintain a safe and respectful environment for community members as well as our team.
We apologise to community members who planned to come to our community pop-up to hear from our project team. We respect people’s right to protest, but we will not risk the safety of attendees and our team by conducting an information session in a protest environment. We take our duty of care to the community and our staff extremely seriously.
Over the last fortnight we have held pop-up information sessions in Creswick, Ballarat, Stawell and Beaufort. At this stage, sessions are still planned for Bacchus Marsh on 18 September, Melton on 23 September and Taylors Lakes on 25 September 2024. You can view the details on our project website’s News & Events page.
We invite the Ballan and surrounding community to attend one of our upcoming sessions, or to contact their Land Liaison Officer or our project team at info@westernrenewableslink.com.au to arrange an individual meeting to discuss the project and any questions they may have.
Please join us to learn about the updated proposed route, field survey findings, and Draft Planning Scheme Amendment.
You can also find out more in our Updated proposed route, Environment Effects Statement and Draft Planning Scheme Amendment fact sheets on our website’s Resources page.
