Local industry opportunities
Western Renewables Link is committed to creating opportunities for local businesses across the seven local government areas along the project route to participate in project delivery.
As part of the project’s commitment to supporting local communities, we encourage suppliers, subcontractors and service providers - particularly local Traditional Owner and First Nations businesses, regional suppliers, social enterprises and small and medium businesses - to register their interest via our Business register and work packages expression of interest form to stay informed about upcoming opportunities. This includes those seeking to work on major infrastructure projects for the first time.
Our Work packages listing currently includes upcoming large-scale work packages and will be continually updated to list work packages of all sizes.
We advise that you also register with our delivery partner AGJV via the Acciona procurement portal, PROCUR-e through which the majority of additional packages of different sizes will become available.

Register for WRL Meet the Builder Events
To help local businesses prepare for procurement opportunities, WRL is hosting a series of free Meet the Builder Events in Melton, Creswick, Stawell and Lexton.
These free events are an opportunity to meet the WRL project team and our delivery partner, Acciona Genus Joint Venture (AGJV).
You’ll hear about current and upcoming WRL work packages and learn how to become a supplier to the project if it proceeds to construction.
- Melton – Tuesday 4 August, 4-6pm
- Creswick – Wednesday 5 August, 4-6pm
- Stawell – Thursday 6 August, 12-2pm
- Lexton – Thursday 6 August, 4-6pm
Attendance is free, but registration is required. Registration will close on 3 August 2026.
Work packages
WRL’s work packages listing provides visibility of upcoming large-scale packages across several categories including civil, construction, statewide services and towers supply.
We encourage businesses of all sizes, including local suppliers, to view the packages and identify where opportunities may align with their services and capabilities.
The listing provides indicative timeframes and will be continuously updated as new packages are released or tendered.
