We recognise the role of each Registered Aboriginal Party in the management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage.
Indigenous partnerships
We are committed to partnering with Traditional Owners to deliver the Western Renewables Link project in a way that respects connection to Country and supports lasting outcomes for Traditional Owner communities.
We are engaging with the Registered Aboriginal Parties of the Wotjobaluk Nations, Eastern Maar, Dja Dja Wurrung, Wadawurrung and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, and with First Peoples – State Relations to understand what matters most to Traditional Owner communities.
This engagement helps identify meaningful opportunities across training, employment, procurement and community investment. These include both financial and in-kind contributions, tailored to each Registered Aboriginal Party's goals and aspirations.
We prioritise employment and procurement through Aboriginal owned businesses to help grow local capacity, support skills development and strengthen economic outcomes across the region.
