We are holding community information sessions throughout October and webinars in November to discuss recent changes to the project and other key topics such as compensation, bushfire risk and farming with transmission lines.

  • Waubra - Wednesday 11 October, 1pm – 7pm, Waubra Football Netball Club, 2091 Sunraysia Hwy
  • Stawell - Thursday 12 October, 1pm – 7pm, Stawell Bowling Club, 5 Napier Street
  • Ballarat - Tuesday 17 October, 1pm – 7pm, Brown Hill Hall, 375 Humffray Street North, Brown Hill 
  • Newlyn - No longer proceeding (Thursday 19 October)

About the project

The Western Renewables Link is a proposed electricity transmission line that will carry renewable energy from western Victoria to homes and businesses across the state and into the National Electricity Market.

The project is critical infrastructure required to unlock the renewable energy potential of western Victoria as a key Renewable Energy Zone and will help to deliver clean and affordable energy to all Victorians.
