Local industry opportunities
Western Renewables Link is committed to creating opportunities for local businesses across the seven local government areas along the project route to participate in project delivery.
As part of the project’s commitment to supporting local communities, we encourage suppliers, subcontractors and service providers - particularly local Traditional Owner and First Nations businesses, regional suppliers, social enterprises and small and medium businesses - to register their interest via our Business register and work packages expression of interest form to stay informed about upcoming opportunities. This includes those seeking to work on major infrastructure projects for the first time.
We advise that you also register with our delivery partner AGJV via the Acciona procurement portal, PROCUR-e through which the majority of additional packages of different sizes will become available.

Local Business Support Program
The WRL Local Business Support Program offers free one-on-one support to help local businesses across Western Victoria build capability, strengthen business readiness and prepare for future opportunities on the project.
Delivered in partnership with Commerce Ballarat, the program connects businesses along the entire WRL route with local support providers based on their needs.
Support may include
Business planning
Human resources advice
Tender writing and procurement readiness
Financial management and data analysis
Marketing and content creation
Customer service
Participating businesses will receive at least three hours of support, while businesses that are members of their local chamber of commerce can access up to four hours.
The program is open to businesses operating within the seven local government areas of Ballarat, Northern Grampians, Pyrenees Shire, Hepburn Shire, Moorabool Shire, Melton and Ararat.
Complete the short application form and tell us how this program can support your business. Commerce Ballarat will review your application and if eligible, match you with a local provider best suited to your needs.
Places are limited, so businesses are encouraged to apply early.

Work packages
WRL’s work packages listing provides visibility of upcoming packages across several categories including temporary workforce accommodation supplies and services, civil, construction, statewide services and towers supply.
We encourage businesses of all sizes, including local suppliers, to view the packages and identify where opportunities may align with their services and capabilities.
The listing provides indicative timeframes and will be continuously updated as new packages are released or tendered.
If you are interested in an opportunity below, please complete the Business register and work packages expression of interest form. You do not need to register for a specific package at this stage. Registering makes sure you are kept informed about upcoming opportunities and industry events.

If a work package has been removed from the listing and you have not received an invitation to tender, you can consider that opportunity closed.
