In other updates, Project Sponsor Jeff Rigby has decided to retire after many years in corporate life. We are grateful for Jeff’s leadership on the project over the last 12 months and in particular his significant efforts in regional engagement.
Executive Project Director – Delivery, Stephanie McGregor, who has played a pivotal role on the Western Renewables link project since 2020, has also moved on. Stephanie made an invaluable contribution to developing the Western Renewables Link project and Victoria’s transmission network during her time with AusNet.
About the project
The Western Renewables Link is a proposed electricity transmission line that will carry renewable energy from western Victoria to homes and businesses across the state and into the National Electricity Market.
The project is critical infrastructure required to unlock the renewable energy potential of western Victoria as a key Renewable Energy Zone and will help deliver clean and affordable energy to all Victorians.
