New compensation landholder guide & construction fact sheet now available

More detailed information is now available for landholders within the proposed Western Renewables Link route, outlining the Option for Easement process and compensation.

The Landholder Guide: Option for Easement process and compensation provides comprehensive information including:

- the process for easement acquisition through a voluntary Option for Easement proposal;

- the payments landholders will be entitled to; and,

- how compensation is assessed.

This new guide expands on the easement acquisition and compensation information provided in the previously published Landholder Guide: Land access, easements and compensation.

The guide includes details of the compensation and payments we will pay landholders for the acquisition of easements for the Western Renewables Link in addition to the payments recently announced by the Victorian Government for landholders hosting new transmission easements. You can view the announcement here.

We have also recently published a new Transmission line construction fact sheet which provides general information for landholders about the construction process on their land, including site preparation, foundation and assembly works, and transmission line stringing.

Both new documents are now available on the project website’s Resources page.
