Environment Effects Statement

Are environmental impacts being considered?

While the proposed route has been developed to avoid and minimise impacts including to dwellings, the environment, land use, Aboriginal cultural heritage, historic heritage and tourism sites wherever possible, we acknowledge that there are impacts which cannot be avoided.

While it is not possible to avoid impacts to all these aspects along the entire route, we have been progressively modifying the project design to reduce impacts as we have gathered information through field surveys and engagement with landholders and other stakeholders. The vegetation clearing requirements and impact of the project on trees and other flora and fauna will be outlined in detail in the EES and made available to the public through the EES process.

More information about these changes is available in the Updated Proposed Route Overview, available on the project website, resources page.
