Compensation

Will this project impact the value of my property?

We recognise that the land values of properties with an easement to host infrastructure may be negatively impacted. Landholders who will have an easement on their property will receive compensation in accordance with the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 (Vic) and the Valuation of Land Act 1960 (Vic), which aim to ensure that landholders are not worse off financially as a result of the easement. The assessment of the amount of compensation will consider the impact to market value, the impact of severance of land, other financial value of the land, and financial loss caused by disruption to the landholder and the landholder's business.

More information about compensation is provided in the Landholder Guide: Option for Easement process and compensation
