How do I provide voluntary consent for access?
You can provide voluntary consent through a Land Access Consent (LAC), which is used to document your consent for us to access your property for project-related field survey and investigation works and sets out any agreed access arrangements and protocols for us to follow.
A LAC allows you to set conditions for access to suit your needs. For example, you can specify:
- No access on certain days (For example Tuesdays when you move cattle)
- Restricted access during key periods (For example during lambing)
- Specific safety requirements (For example property biosecurity land management plans).
A landholder is eligible for the Landholder Participation Fee of $20,000 (excluding GST) upon signing a LAC. The Landholder Participation Fee includes an initial 5 days of land access for field surveys and investigations while the Land Access Consent is valid. If we need access for more than 5 days, you will receive $2,000 per extra day, up to a maximum of $30,000. The total payment for land access for each property is capped at $50,000 (excluding GST).
You can request a copy of the Land Access Consent form via your Land Liaison Officer or by emailing info@westernrenewableslink.com.au.
Providing consent for access does not indicate endorsement of the project but will help ensure all of the potential impacts of this project are considered during planning and approvals processes, as well as informing project design choices and construction planning.
