Environment Effects Statement

Who is approving the EES?

The Environment Effects Statement (EES) is not an approval process in and of itself; rather, it provides an assessment of the environmental effects of a project by the proponent and its technical specialists to inform the Minister for Planning to make an assessment of the acceptability of a project’s environmental effects.

Subject to the outcome of the Minister for Planning’s assessment, the EES will assist statutory decision-makers to make informed decisions regarding approvals and consents.
