Compensation

There are reports landholders will get certain specific amounts in compensation. Is this true?

Compensation packages will be determined in accordance with legislative requirements including the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 (Vic) and on an individual basis after assessment and consultation with landholders.

Details of how compensation will be calculated can be found in the Landholder Guide: Option for Easement process, compensation and benefits.

The exact amount of the total package and the amount each landholder will receive will not be known until the end of the negotiation with landholders.
